  • This V is from a massive Zexal AU rewrite; while some points did stay the same and are similar as to in-canon, most will be different.

  • During the first part of Zexal, V used their codenames at all points. Now, he's trying more to use their normal names, but he still does slip into codenames at times, most often in public.

  • He can and is very terrifying when angered, and will even show that scary side to IV if IV pushes back against or mocks Tron. He has a shitton of anger buried deep within him, and you absolutely do not want to bring it out. Luckily, he can calm down fairly quickly, most likely out of experience of keeping himself controlled.

  • He loves his brothers dearly and can read them both easily, especially IV's insecurity. He tries his best to deal with this, more so when they all aren't suffering, and gives what love he can. Unfortunately, he can't always figure out how to lift IV up or what's best to say or do in a situation. He's a brother, not a parent, which is part of his major issues thanks to a lot of trouble in the past.

  • V is much better now that Tron's recovered, but he still bears the scars of before Tron returned, and heavily. He feels the need to be responsible for everyone and has an intense fear of losing them again, which often manifested in a cold or controlling attitude (though now, it mostly manifests in lectures or some slight overprotectiveness). That fear was especially strong back then because, even though he was an adult at the time, he had no access to any of his father's resources (it would've taken years for his father to be declared missing) and he couldn't save or even find his brothers. He tried for what felt like an eternity to him, in hopes of keeping their family together no matter how hard it would have been -- and was -- on his finances, and it simply failed.

  • This compounded more when he went to Hiraku, hoping she knew or could help and wanting to see his infant brother, and found that they, too, were simply gone, then even further once Tron did return. After all, his father looked and acted like a child, and thus V had to both take care of and parent him... but at the same time, Tron still was his father, and he had to be subordinate and a loving child, too. The strain of this, as well as knowing both that the only thing that awaited them at the end of Tron's revenge was oblivion and that Tron would never listen or change his path whatever his children said, contributed to both V's cold and closed nature and the breakdown that came at the end of the duel with Kaitou, when he simply cracked and couldn't take it anymore.

  • All of this has made him especially defensive of and protective of his siblings, but also instilled an immense distaste of authority systems -- not that he often shows it. He tries his best not to control them or be too overprotective, but it sometimes can still show, and those who hurt his siblings intentionally often get to see that nasty, cold V from when Tron was still insane. On top of that, while it's far less well known (because he tries to hide it as much as possible), V has nightmares fairly regularly and internally jolts in fear at anything that looks like his father might be actively relapsing (though not day-to-day childishness or anything simple like that).

  • If it's not obvious, family is the most important thing to him. He'll do whatever he has to for them.

  • V is very outwardly calm, but inwardly feeling. He used to be very friendly and cheerful until Tron disappeared and the family was separated, after which he became fairly cold and guarded (though once Tron was returned to sanity, he went somewhat back to normal). He tends to stand mentally and physically away from people he doesn't know. V's closest to Tron out of all the family (having been nearly an adult physically and considerably one mentally when the other two were still tinies), and he was very angry over his "death", to the point that he cut ties to his best (and implied only) friend out of fury when he discovered he was Dr. Faker's son.

  • He's very proud, he talks down to his opponents when he duels, and he can come off as a little sadistic when he wants to be. He's immensely smart, having been working with Tron as a scientist before he was legally an adult.
